  Question abouth wrong doing

  some years ago watchtower wrote that some arrangement in the organisation, they probably made wrong.

  some months ago tony morris said that faithful slave is not perfect and could have done some arrangements organisation wrong.

  do you think they meant the two witness rule, the disfellowshipping arrangement or anything else?

  The whole situation has made UK a laughing stock. Arresting an innocent couple whose innocence could have been proved with one phone call that the Police never bothered making.

  Keeping them locked up long enough for the media circus to plaster their faces over the front pages of their nasty little rags also seems deliberate.

  Now there may not have been any drones in the first place? So what was there if there was anything at all?

  Any less cynical than me might suspect it was orchestrated as a distraction from the shambles that is Brexit.

  Languages, Dialects, Accents

  just though i'd start a thread devoted to languages, dialects/sociolects and accents, with the idea being that posters can comment on any language, or dialect or accent of any language, on this thread.. any phrases, expressions or idioms that you find interesting are also welcome.

  first, the subject of english accents came up on another thread.. the british isles have many different types of accent (although many of the dialects may be dying out), and if i start to take a closer look, i can't help but see 'patterns' .... in received pronunciation of standard english, the letter r is pronounced initially, between vowels, and after consonants, e.g.

  red, arrow, break.

  Old English?

  My daughter is tri lingual after meeting her partner who is German in Spain. They communicate in Spanish but then after the crash of 2008 she moved with him to Germany where she had to learn German to work. My granddaughter is also tri- lingual.

  They now have a male and a female helping the Police with their enquiries.

  Originally they said "a rifle could accidentally hit Doris walking her dog 2 miles away" but then they did get a sniper in so who knows.

  Everyone except JWs were going to die if they rejected their message.

  If no one knocked on the door for you to reject God read your heart so you might still make it.

  Dead people (even bad dead people) got a free pass to paradise and were resurrected because the wages sin pays is death...but good Jdubs may not make it even on the back of Christ's sacrifice.

  The smallest known star right now is OGLE-TR-122b, a red dwarf star that's part of a binary stellar system. This red dwarf the smallest star to ever have its radius accurately measured; 0.12 solar radii. This works out to be 167,000 km.

  The smallest theoretical mass for a star to support nuclear fusion is 0.07 or 0.08 solar masses, so smaller stars are out there.

  Simon, your backyard, unspoiled by man, is beautiful.

  My decision to move to Fuerteventura came after a WT talk on how the speaker imagined "paradise earth" to be and the picture he was painting was not my idea of paradise at all. My idea of paradise was the golden sands and aqua seas of my recent holiday.

  I decided I didn't want to wait for Armageddon and when I found out moving there I could be mortgage free and have a swimming pool and money for a brand new car and a whole year before i needed to find a job a For Sale sign was erected in our front garden and I car booted and ebayed everything we weren't taking in a suitcase.

  9 weeks after my holiday we landed in El Matoral, me, 2 young children, 14 suitcases and a bike!

  £750 worth of excess baggage. Lol

  A decision I will never regret.

  No modern teen will want to live without the internet and so nothing, not even promises of tame pandas can substitute or counteract the prospect of eternal life without social media and games. The GB are not so stupid they can offer a promise of modern tecnology and living life like the Amish has no appeal whatsoever to anyone I know.

  Our territory was supposed to be worked approximately every 2 weeks. It was nearer monthly but that was 20 years ago.

  I've had Mormons here twice and JWs 3 times in the last 10 years. Hardly urgent.
